What did your experience entail?
For this experience, I attended a One Night Stay at The Downe Arms Hotel; I separately purchased an extra night – making it two nights with breakfast! Check in was from 2pm, and when we arrived, we were greeted at reception by a friendly member of staff who gave us all the information we needed and even provided us with some leaflets and places to visit in the local area. The room we had was also a dog friendly and was situated at the back of the hotel with its own side entrance for people who may not want to bring their dog through the hotel, which was very handy! The room was clean and bright, and we were pleasantly surprised with the facilities.
What did you enjoy the most?
Our favourite part of this stay was the area we were in - we were only a short drive away from Scarborough sea front, where there were lots of places to eat and drink along with plenty of arcade games by the beach!
1. Make sure to check out the restaurant and bar at the hotel, they had a lovely atmosphere and offer breakfast, lunch and dinner.
2. The perfect place to take your dog, there are lots of fields around for dog walking and the hotel provide water and treats in the bar.
3. Make the most of the area and head down to the beach, there is lots to do!

We decided to book this venue at the end of our weeks cruising on the Norfolk Broads. We had an Activity Superstore Experience Voucher that had been bought for us and used this to pay for the nights accommodation. Exceptionally good venue, very friendly hosts, impeccably clean with immaculate bedrooms. Basically we wanted for nothing. Breakfast in the morning was a mixture of buffet selection and included optional full English cooked to our requirements. We would strongly recommend this small venue (6 rooms) to others. There is free parking to the rear of the venue, with the seafront, shops and numerous pubs and restaurants within walking distance.
