This is a fascinating introduction to an ancient and intriguing pursuit. See for yourself an extraordinary relationship between man and bird of prey. Falconry was originally introduced as a means of obtaining "food for the table". In Medieval Britain birds of prey were often present at grand occasions such as pageants, weddings and jousting tournaments. Even today seeing these magnificent birds up close is a very special experience and one which you won't forget.
You'll handle the birds yourself under the watchful eye of the professionals (depending on location), before they take over to perform an impressive aerial show. You will have lots of time to take some fantastic pictures of you and your new feathered friend!

2. The cryptic clues offer a greater challenge and are perfect for older participants. These clues might ask for something harder to spot, require some general knowledge, or read more like a riddle rather than a direct question.
In addition to the two sets of clues, you will receive three bonus rounds. These bonus rounds can be completed alongside the main hints and will add an extra element of fun to your adventure.
1. Picture Round: This round will challenge you to take pictures of specific places and objects you encounter along the treasure hunt route.
2. Items to Collect: As you progress on your scavenger hunt, keep an eye out for everyday objects listed in this bonus round.
3. Pub Names: If you're exploring a location with numerous pubs and bars, this bonus round is perfect for you. These cryptic clues will lead you to discover the names of various pubs and bars along the way.
Once you’ve received your treasure hunt pack, choose which clues you want to follow and print them off for everyone participating.
The scavenger hunt can be completed in a number of locations throughout England, including several treasure trails in London. Please keep in mind that this activity isn’t organised. You’ll receive your pack of treasure hunt clues by email and complete the experience on the day of your choice.
Treasure hunts in London and other cities can be completed on foot, while rural ones require driving. It's worth noting that most rural hunts, as well as the majority of city-based ones, are designed to be non-circular. This means that they will have a distinct starting and ending point.

6th Gear Driving Experiences, Bruntingthrope, LeicestershireHannah from Purchasing, July 2019 |
What did you get up to?
My 12-year-old Nephew Connor couldn’t believe his luck when I asked if he fancied driving a supercar round Bruntingthorpe racetrack.
He’s always loved cars, so it really was the perfect experience for him. We turned up 30 minutes before our time slot (thank goodness we did because the queue to register our attendance was really long.) Once we were registered we went and took advantage of all the picture opportunities available with the cars parked in the background.
When it was Connor’s time to drive we were taken in a minibus over to a section of the track that had been sectioned off specifically for Junior drivers. Connor had chosen to drive a red Ferrari 430. After a short briefing, I heard the roar of the engine, and he was off. He went up and down the track 4 times going in and out of cones and then picking up speed coming back along the strait.
Once his experience was finished we were offered the opportunity to purchase some professional photos. However, as we’d taken so many of our own, we decided not to but it’s nice to get the option.
This experience was brilliant, really well organised, with friendly and patient staff. I would definitely recommend.
What did you enjoy the most?
The instructors were really great, helping him to get to grips with the car and really get some speed up!
1. Make sure you get there with plenty of time to spare, the queue for registration was out the door when we arrived so you could run the risk of missing your time slot if you don’t get there early.
