Overview

Harraton Court Stables is the ultimate experience for any horse racing enthusiast. It is located in the village of Exning, less than three miles northeast of Newmarket, the historic centre of the horseracing world.

Built during the 1880s by John George Lambton, the third Earl of Durham. The stables are grade II listed, an imposing example of late-Victorian equestrian architecture. Originally built as a private residence, Harraton House was a large building with landscaped gardens and meandering paths which lead to the stables.

Harraton Court Stables is now comprised of two components, the racing stables and the training stables, replacing the former stallion barn.

You will get to meet the team at Harraton Court Stables, chat to the jockeys and trainers about their daily routine and racing experiences. They will then give you a tour of the yard, where you will see the daily life of a professional racing yard and meet the beautiful equine heroes.

After this you will have an opportunity to watch these stunning thoroughbreds out on the gallops being put through their paces and gain an insight into what is required to train a winner. To finish off this wonderful behind the scenes tour make your way to The Pantry Fine Foods restaurant in Newmarket with a £15 voucher each to go towards a brunch of your choice.
