Description
Wine is a beverage loved by many in the UK, for some it’s a nice accompaniment for a tasty meal, or a glass after work and for others it’s their vice. This tour and tasting experience is the perfect gift for any wine lover, inviting them to try an assortment of delicious wines, along with learning more about how their favourite tipple is made.
Every year, vineyards across the country produce thousands of bottles of flavoursome wines. This experience will provide a behind the scenes insight into how these wines are able to reach the shops as you walk around the vineyard. Most importantly, you’ll get to sample some of the fine wines they carefully craft, where you’re sure to experience new flavours, expanding your wine palate.
With different vineyards across the country all offering peaceful and tranquil surroundings, they open the opportunity to explore more of the local area before or after this delightful wine tasting experience.
You’ll be shown around the vineyard by an experienced tour guide, taking you on a journey to discover the fascinating history of English wine. Expect to learn about the wine-making process from start to finish, from the growing and pruning of vines, along with grape-picking, fermentation, blending and finishing off with the most important part- the bottling! Of course this experience wouldn’t be complete without tasting some of the delights the vineyard has to offer, which you’ll typically enjoy after the tour.
The programme on offer will depend on your selected location. Please note, at the Oxfordshire location, this includes a winery and brewery tour and tasting tour for two.
If you’re feeling peckish or fancy a spot of lunch before or after your wine-filled experience, most of the vineyards included in this gift experience package have cafes or a restaurant perfect for a delightful bite to eat.
