Treat a pair of animal enthusiasts to the rare opportunity of meeting the intriguing fox crew. The two visitors are invited to enter the fox enclosure, learn more about the fox’s day to day lives at Ark, and their playful personalities.
Visitors will get to choose one of the following fox encounters:
Red/Silver Fox encounter:
Go behind the scenes and into the Red/Silver fox enclosure, with one of Ark Wildlife’s fox keepers, to meet these beautiful and seldom seen animals. Meet their stunning silver foxes Dexter & Lana, for an unforgettable half hour. Learn more about the fox’s day to day life at Ark and their playful personalities. This experience may include direct interaction, but this cannot be guaranteed as it’s up to the foxes on the day,
Arctic Fox Encounter
The newest editions to Ark Wildlife’s skulk of foxes are the beautiful Artic Foxes. Meet these amazing creatures as you enter their habitat, help make treats and feed the fox pack inside their enclosure, as they run around you. Learn about how these beautiful winter wonders survive the harsh extremes of their Arctic home.
Before entering the fox enclosure and introducing themselves, visitors will be asked to fill in a health and safety form and will be provided with facts, tips and tricks about their fascinating characters.
This experience is available Monday to Friday on selected dates, throughout the year.
This experience will last approximately half an hour, you will receive entrance to the zoo all day.
This experience is for two people.
Spectators are welcome, they will have to pay directly on the day.
The minimum age for the Red Fox experience is 10 years old. For the Arctic Foxes it is 12 years old.
Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.

We understand experience s are down to the animals but when you’re feeding dog biscuits to foxes it doesn’t exactly give them much motivation to want to interact. We’ve done a fox feeding at a different location where we fed them meat which obviously made them more excited. Thankfully we still had fun and understood that animals are just that but of course it was disappointing when they didn’t want to interact at all.

Me and my friend went for a fox experience and it was amazing. Staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. Foxes were extremely cute, we were able to pet them. Whole park was very nice with loads of different animals, we had great day walking around before our experience.
