Ford Escort Mk1 Driving Experience

This classic car was the first European Ford and was in production from 1967 to 1975. A UK bestseller in the 1960s, it quickly solidified its status as a truly classic car. Known for its “coke bottle” waistline and “dogbone” front grille, it is an iconic example of practical and timeless design. It was also a firm favourite for rallying and later gained additional fame after it was featured in The Fast And The Furious 6, driven by Paul Walker.

So, if you have a need for speed and fancy taking a spin around the race track in this classic car, now is your opportunity! As you arrive at the race track, you’ll be taken through a safety briefing while a hot drink of your choosing fortifies you for the drive. After that, you’ll hop into the car for six laps around the track with an expert instructor by your side to help you navigate the track while offering expert advice on how to get the most out of the car.

What else do I need to know?

The minimum age is 17 years old.

Drivers must be fit and healthy and not suffer from any conditions that may impact their ability to drive the car safely. Maximum weight is 20st (127kg). Minimum height is 135cm (4ft 5").

You will be required to hold a full UK or European manual driving licence which must have been held for at least one year with no serious offences, this will need to be presented on the day.

The person driving the car will be required to sign a disclaimer accepting liability in the event of damage to the vehicle. The driver will be given an option to purchase damage waiver cover when booking to minimise their financial exposure should there be an accident. Drivers are under no obligation to purchase this optional waiver. Full details are available at the time of booking.
