Afternoon Tea for Two with a Teapot Cocktail at Revolucíon de Cuba

After alot of faffing with available dates (they've reduced hours so not many available) we finally enjoyed the experience. The table was booked, the food came out pretty quickly and presented well. It was a decent variety of food and all tasted good. It's not your usual afternoon tea, fried chicken, mini burgers, potato croquets etc. but a good section and the deserts were lovely. Overall we both enjoyed it.

Enjoyed this experience, easy to book and confirm, nice bar, lovely staff My only issue was value for money, the food was very sparse, per person it was terrible actually, you were served a platter for two people with one tiny mini burger, one chicken tender along with one small ball of macaroni cheese and literally a tiny dish of potatoes between two people (in a mini dish) A couple of tiny pieces of cake and a really hard piece of waffle with ice cream was served as a dessert There were four of us so it was an experience that cost £118 which was £59 per couple, the food offering should have been better for that price On the plus side the fizz was very good and the service was good too but the food needs to be reviewed it was not good value for money at all

My wife and I went to The Revolution Bar in Plymouth for an afternoon tea with a difference using a voucher that I was given as a retirement gift. I did have to change the original date twice for personal reasons but this was done without any issues. The actual afternoon tea was fantastic, like nothing we've had before and although it was a set menu the venue changed one of the items for another due to one of us having a dietary issue and the other party not liking that particular item which was very much appreciated by us. The meal was absolutely lovely and was more than enough for the two of us. We even had to take a doggy bag with us. The female member of staff that served us was brilliant and couldn't have been more helpful. The venue, we had never been to a Revolution bar before, appears to be more of a student bar but was very nice although my wife thought the floors and tables were a little "sticky"? I wasnt sure that this was a problem and as we were there at opening time thought that it may have been "normal"? It didnt detract from the day at all and overall the experience was brilliant thank you.

We had a lovely time and the food was tasty more the savoury section then the desserts. Just not alot for 2 people, also because my auntie was vegetarian, the whole afternoon tea had to be vegetarian. Was nice just don't know why they couldn't do half and half. Because we were seated in the preordered food section and no drinks came with the voucher had to keep getting up the the bar as there was no table service, which was OK but the bar was a bit away and the service was a little slow.
